How are we doing In Kara after 6 weeks?
Last night was our second Kara run of the week. Tuesday we downed Attumen, Moroes, Maiden, and R&J (again - 3rd week in a row we get R&J!). We had trouble with Curator and it was late so we called it.

Last night we two shotted Curator, one shotted Chess, two shotted Shade (or was it one?), and then one shotted Prince. Prince. I saw Prince!

I have 2 blues left in my gear. Just replaced my last green item, a trinket with a badge reward. It's working out pretty well, this holy priest stuff. :)

Seasoned guild members who left about a year ago because the guild wasn't gearing up and raiding - just talking about wanting to - are returning with alts and seem to be very pleased with what they see. OK. I'm taking a bit of credit here. I was GL from just after the implosion until some time in February or March and with the help of some of my guildmates we grew the guild back to a going concern.

It's good.

which class to play as a PvP compliment to a frost mage?
My boyfriend and I both enjoy PvPing, but unfortunately it worked out that we fight on opposite sides: all his toons are allies, but I only PvP on my beloved beastmaster hordie.

Recently the boy decided he wanted to roll a character strictly for PvP purposes, so now he has a frost mage (fire mage is his main, which he loves and does PvP with, but he wants the higher level of control and survivability of frost, and doesn't want to respec). This gives me a great opportunity to either level another toon with him, or create an alliance side PvP character. We will do both arenas and lots of BGs. These are my options:

1. Marksman Hunter - I have one at level 23. The pro is that we'd be awesome at kiting, the downside is only that I don't know if I am really fond enough of this character (and the MM spec in general) to level her all the way up. I am nuts and don't want two characters of the same class same spec, so this toon is MM or Surv for life.

2. MS warrior - I have a level 70 prot warrior that now has no purpose of existing since I decided to tank when needed on my druid (who has much better tanking gear than the warrior who is new to 70). I'd need to gear her for PvP, but would have plenty of time for that while the boy's frost mage levels.

3. Affliction warlock - this guy has pretty nice gear already, but I am really attached to his affliction spec and don't know how I'd feel about respeccing SL/SL or something like that for PvP.

4. resto druid - my main, has the best gear, but oddly enough I don't really love PvP as resto, but I could imagine that changing. I've had some experience with her in 2v2 arenas with the boy's fire mage, and I think we might be a formidable force with him as frost.

So what is your advice ladies? I am kinda leaning towards the MS warrior since that would give that character "a life" and all my other characters have stuff going on. Which duo would be the most fun, and most deadly?

Thanks!

Edited to add: I have a level 64 rogue, but I am not at all interested in playing her at this point. I am only considering the 4 classes mentioned above. I am not looking to have a 2000+ rated team, I am just looking to have some fun.

The Plaguelands is a very scary place...
I'm levelling an alt, UD rogue. All my other alts have been levelled mostly in Kalimdor, so I decided to stick to Eastern Kingdom mostly, this time' round.  I suppose that I've become used to the way that you're slowly introduced to new zones, with the mobs there being at the same level as the highlevel ones in the previous zone, mobs being spread out, easy quests to start with etc. I decided that since my rogue was now not-so-little at lvl 51, it was time to go to the western plaguelands. I want to do all the quests there and in EPL, there's so much nice lore hidden there and I've barely been there before.

Well, I just had an eyeopener. The western plaguelands doesn't believe in this 'let's introduce the new zone slowly'-business. It's more like '5 level 53 mobs IN YOUR FACE! Mwahahaha!'. Ok, exaggerated, but it sure feels that way. The two first quests that you get from the bulwark have you up against some very crowded areas of lvl 51 -54 mobs, with many of them being mages and thus hard to pull or hunters with the added fun bonus of there being a pet, which is of course also lvl 54.

After getting these two quests plus an extra from the farmhouse in the first plaguefield out of the way, I decided to do a little herbing, then head to Un'goru. Well, even my little herbing trip went  awry, or close to it (vanish FTW!). The mobs change very quickly to lvl 55-56, and no, your 3 points in master of deception doesn't really help much there.

There's not much point in this post, I suppose, but it just surprised me how *tough* the plaguelands really are, compared to Un'goru and Felwood. It's fitting of course, and it really gives you a feeling of it being a very f***** up, scary and creepy place. I hope there will be places like this in WotLK, where even your mighty lvl 80 will hide in the corners and pray that you'll remain unseen.

/off to nice, sunny Un'Goru. Even the devilsaurs can't detract from that place right now.

Yay!
So after all my QQ over the last few months, there's happier news.

Last night I was waiting for my boyfriend to come home and play with my new gnome mage (that I made to get out of the endless frustration with the hunter and all)
Well, I was farming primals for the Boots of the Crimson Hawk (I got the pattern off the Auction House. >.<) but almost didn't want to wait anymore when he signed on - I was already half asleep. But after like two minutes he was like "How tired are you?" and I asked why and he said "Well, Trufflepig [a prot pally he knows from a PUG] whispered me. They need a healer and a dps for their Kara guild run."
O.O
My boyfriend is a tree, I'm a hunter. It couldn't have been more perfect.
So we get invites, summons, and head in. RL says "Get on vent, buff up, we're starting to clear trash in 2 minutes."
I don't have vent (yet! Because I never needed it) but my boyfriend tells me anything they're saying.
I'm a little confused about the marking, because square doesn't mean trap - we have two pally tanks and don't need much CC, just a killing order.
We wipe once on the last pull before Attumen - I'm afraid it was my fault because I MIGHT have broken a shackle >.<! but they blamed someone else (jokingly) and it was all good. The raid leader said "Okay, this was our one wipe for the night."
And I seriously thought "This is too good to be true."
Everyone knew exactly what they're doing and they were really well geared (I was thinking they could have 8 manned it, but I'm not complaining)
So we down Attumen without any problems, and he drops mail bracers. The raid leader lets me know that I can roll on any loot that drops if I need it - but I pass on those because I have the Ebon Netherscale set and it wasn't really an upgrade (and I don't want to end up losing the +20 hit set bonus just yet.)
Afterwards we head to Moroes, and again, no problems. Before Maiden, the friendly mage took the time to type out the strategy for her, just for me. One or two people die during the fight, but we still get her down in no time. My boyfriend was hoping for the healy mace, but no luck.
Before the opera event, they explain all three possible events before we head in and I was really excited because all of them sounded like SO MUCH FUN. We ended up doing Oz, and the Ribbon of Sacrifice drops. My boyfriend rolls and wins - so I'm happy about being there and he's happy about awesome loot. :)
Then during the Nightbane fight, I died when he was at about 70% and I wasn't sure what I had done wrong, but later the mage told me it wasn't my fault. And I got to watch the longest fight in my little hunter life. I'm not too sure I like that fight, it just seems really long and not too exciting. But he dropped a mail chestpiece and boots, and I roll on the boots and get them. They tell me I can have the chestpiece too but I don't need it >:O
Ha, it's kind of funny. There were three drops that I could have had and only one was an upgrade. It makes me feel better about my pre-Kara gear. They didn't post damage meters and I was glad. Seems like they only cared about threat during the fights and actually getting bosses down. I liked it :)
And I got enough badges to get the Primal Nethers for my boots.

My boyfriend was really happy for me and said that maybe my luck is changing. :)
I'd want nothing more than to join that guild because although I didn't hear them on vent they seemed like the nicest people, and really good players.
Well, maybe someday.
I know Kara isn't that special to a lot of people anymore, but I was really excited and I loved every minute of it.

And it also told me that even if I find a good guild, 25 mans aren't going to happen for me. Not on this laptop, anyway.

More pages from Reign of Starscream!
Still unsure about the series hits shelves (or if it's even up yet, hmm), but damn, am I excited! As usual, Alex Milne does a superb job, and his colorist just makes everything pop like crazy.

May contain SPOILERS! for the actual comic, and quite possibly for TF2.
